Flora Color Sensor with White LED

This Flora‑compatible sensor lets your electronics “see” and respond to real color, not just brightness. The TCS34725 RGB color sensor uses separate red, green, blue, and clear photodiodes, plus an on‑chip IR blocking filter, so it rejects infrared light and gives color readings that match how humans actually see. That makes it great for wearables that change color‑based animations based on ambient lighting, or interactive garments that react differently depending on whether the environment is blue, red, or green.

Key Specs (from description + common TCS34725 behavior)

  • Sensor: TCS34725 RGB color sensor with clear channel and IR‑blocking filter
  • Channels: Red, green, blue, and clear light sensing
  • Dynamic range: Up to about 3,800,000:1, thanks to adjustable integration time and gain
  • I²C interface: Compatible with Flora’s 3.3 V logic (uses 3V, GND, SDA, SCL pads)
  • White LED: Integrated LED for consistent illumination of nearby objects or fabric
  • Sewable pads: Designed to align with Flora’s edge pins so you can connect with conductive thread in a clean layout, without crossing wires
